Planning a Destination wedding
As you maybe aware planning a destination wedding can be a little stressful, finding the right venue,
flights and hotels for all your guests, then you’ll appreciate it takes dedication and skill to get the job done.
Start adding in your wedding photographer in that country and you start to wonder if they might be good enough,
will they speak enough English to be understood, will they turn up!
Taking your wedding photographer from the UK relieves most of that stress and worry.
Having shot many weddings and having travelled worldwide I have the experience and knowledge.
You’ll need to check with your wedding venue abroad to see if they charge an outside vendors fee, and if they do how much?
You’ll also need to liaise with your photographer to check if any permits are required. Some countries are relaxed about it, others that require permits can take months.
Does your photographer have insurance and is it valid abroad? Will he/she have backup cameras and lenses and backups of everything else?
Check the weather conditions for that time of year, it can be hurricane season in the Caribbean from September to November, bear this in mind.
You can get rain at any time, a good photographer will be prepared for this, make sure your photographer has a plan for dealing with it.
Overall choosing the right destination wedding photographer for your dream wedding abroad is perhaps the most important suppliers you will choose.
You may find I am already in your chosen country or close by in a neighbouring country so may be able to reduce costs.
If you’d like to chat about your wedding photography I’d love to know all about your plans so please do get in touch.
